A Pakistani Americans delegation visited Israel on 11th May, 2022 apparently to promote Israel-Pakistan relations, according to foreign media reports. The visit was sponsored by a pro-Israel civil group Sharaka (“Partnership” in Arabic) established in 2020 after the signing of The Abraham Accords and recognition of Israel by the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. As the news broke out, lots of negative sentiments against the ruling government were observed as the delegation was mistakenly assumed as the official delegation of the Government of Pakistan.
A social media user shared a photo claiming Aisha Bajwa, niece of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa, meeting with Israel President as a part of Pakistani delegation.
