A viral message on social media claims that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued a special number to provide information about Muslim terrorists. A number is also being shared in the viral post.

The message said that if any Muslim person found shouting ‘Sir Tan Se Juda’ on Facebook, Twitter or any other social media platform, just take a screenshot, copy the link and call 011-24368800.

When we searched on the basis of the number in the viral message, we got to see a tweet made on 17th September 2021, from the Twitter handle of the Asian news international (ANI).

In this Tweet by Asian News International, it was informed that a hotline number -011-24368800- has been issued by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to register complaints against people who are promoting Islamic State (IS) ideology on social media or trying to radicalize the youth.

National Investigation Agency’s Public Relations Officer, Vijayanta Arya, has also debunked BoomLive ‘s viral claims on social media. He also shared a press release issued by the National Investigation Agency on 7th July 2022, refuting the viral claims.
