In order to verify the claim, we searched for keywords “India dropped from UN security council” and came across the official website of UN Security Council, a report titled ” Five Countries Elected to the UN Security Council (Translated) ” was published on the official website of the United Nations on 9th June 2022. The report states that the five new members of the UN Security Council, elected on 9th June 2022, will replace India, Ireland, Kenya, Mexico and Norway, all of which will assume their responsibilities by the end of this year. Five countries, including India, have been dropped from the UN Security Council. They are replaced by Ecuador, Japan, Malta, Mozambique and Switzerland. News Reuters.
