On 28th April, 2022 a picture of Deputy Speaker, Advocate Fazl-e-Rabbi Mian, of Bangladesh went viral on social media claiming his death. The viral post was shared 51 times, at the time when the data was retrieved. The viral post saddened and shocked his well-wishers as they could not believe in the news of his sudden death.

We searched for keywords “অ্যাডভোকেট ফজল ই রবি মিয়া ইন্তেকাল করেছেন” which translates “Advocate Fazl-e-Rabi Mian passed away” and found a video posted on 29th April, 2022 in which his daughter is on a live call with him while he is hospitalized. She also gave a clarification about the rumors at the end of the video.

President, United States Awami League, Siddiqe-ur-Rahman, also confirmed in his Facebook post that Fazl-e-Rabbi Mian is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in New York.
