Some users claimed the source as BTV and Ekattar TV. However, in the mainstream media of Bangladesh, including BTV and Ekattar Television, there was no news of the government sending 10,000 student leagues to Ukraine.
It is to be noted that Bangladesh did not take any position in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam told reporters on Thursday (February 24th) about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“Bangladesh is monitoring the situation in Ukraine. However, according to the main features of its foreign policy, Bangladesh will remain neutral without taking sides. Bangladesh believes and hopes that a peaceful solution to the crisis will come through bilateral talks.”
The information that the Bangladesh government sent 10,000 Chhatra League members to Ukraine is completely baseless and false. As in the mainstream media of Bangladesh, including BTV and Ekattar Television, there was no news of the government sending 10,000 student leagues to Ukraine. Such information is spread to mislead people.
