Introduction

A Twitter user claimed that “Geo News Urdu” reported a statement by MQM given after over ruling of No Confidence Vote in National Assembly.

“All our promises and agreements were in case of success of no-confidence motion, Asif Zardari’s reply to MQM”.

The time when the information was retrieved, the tweet got 125 Re-Tweets with almost 500 likes.

For verification of the news, we checked the @handle of “Geo News Urdu” and found the following verified twitter account with username @geonews_urdu.

Then we checked the username from the shared post which was @geonewsurduu and found it to be a Parody Account of Geo News Urdu Official Account.
